Point to Point Land Surveyors, Inc.’ 1st Annual Dove Hunt was a success!

As I sat with one of our clients, both of us anxiously awaiting the massive ribeye steaks that were sizzling on the grills, he leaned over to me and said, “You know, I’ve been to a lot of dove hunts and I can already tell this is going to be a good one.” A few moments later, we were all sitting down to eat perfectly cooked ribeyes, some of the best smashed potatoes we’d ever had, sauteed mushrooms, and more. Special thanks to Almost Heaven Catering for an amazing meal. We will definitely have you all back next year.

Saturday, September 1, 2012, marked Point to Point Land Surveyors, Inc.’ 1st Annual Dove Hunt. Our co-sponsors for this year’s event were Construction Laser, Inc. and UtiliTrace, Inc. The event was hosted on Walraven Farms, a beautiful 300-acre fifth generation farm in Brooks, GA.

After our amazing lunch, clients and Point to Point team members headed to the field. Although quite warm, it was a beautiful day.

Time to cool off a little. Point to Point team members ran cold water around to those participating in the hunt in the company’s Kubota.

By late afternoon, the doves were flying in all over the field and the sound of guns firing could be heard from every direction.

Thank you to all of our clients who attended and to all the members of the Point to Point team who helped to make this year’s hunt a tremendous success. Here’s what some of our clients had to say:

“Thanks for having us at the dove shoot, we really enjoyed the fellowship and the shoot.  My son had a great time.”

“Thanks for inviting me to your dove shoot last Saturday. The food and fellowship were great!”

“I want to thank you and P2P for the shoot invite. It was a good time all around. I enjoyed  the gab fest prior the shoot as well as the shooting.  I know that none of you would have  known, but my grandson had a break thru in his shooting Saturday. All the coaching that both myself and his dad have done came to fruition on Saturday. He was really frustrated last year with his lack of hits. However, as everyone around him noted, he came into his own on Saturday, and shot well. That really made his day and mine.”

“Thank you again for having us out for the dove shoot yesterday.  It was incredible, and I understand that the birds REALLY came in right after I left. The client I brought with me and his father have called twice to make sure that I pass their appreciation on to you and the rest of the Point to Point team.”

Thanks again to all. There are additional pictures from this year’s hunt on our Facebook page –  1st Annual Dove Hunt – 2012 Album. All of us at Point to Point Land Surveyors, Inc. are all looking forward to doing it again next year!
